The meaning of the Olympic Games
Despite ongoing disputes Greeks still remain one nation, people with common roots, language, traditions and culture. At the Olympics, people gathered to lust fame by proving their fitness. Ordinary people had a few days of entertainment and sports enthusiasts could enjoy and content young men (in Greece it was believed that human happiness largely depends on good physical condition).
